Estetik görüntü enformasyonu ile kuşatılmış bir dünyada yaşamaktayız. Piyasa iktidarlarının yaratmış olduğu bu yapay dünyada kurallar lehimize işler gibi görünse de gerçekte tamamen aleyhimize işlemektedir. Vaat ettiği hiçbir şey gerçekleşmez aslında, sadece gerçekleşecekmiş gibi yapar. Doyduğunuzu hissettiğinizde aslında artık değilsinizdir, açlık tam da burada ortaya çıkar, daha fazlasını istersiniz ki o artık doyurulamazdır. Sınırsız doyum ilkesine dayalı tüketim toplumunun bireyleri bu anlamda sürekli kışkırtılırlar. Çevreleri varlık anlamlarını yitirmiş kendi varlık nedenlerini dayatarak baştan çıkarmaya hazır nesnelerle kuşatılmıştır, bunlara kayıtsız kalmak imkânsızdır. Üst benliğiniz bu çağrıya itaat eder, itaat ettiği sürece de suçlusunuzdur. Nesnenin çekiciliği, hiçbir zaman doyurulamaz olanda saklıdır.

Cazibesine kayıtsız kalınamayan bu tekinsiz dünya gün be gün bizleri kendi benliğimize yabancılaştırmaktadır. Yaratılan bu dünya sadece görüntülerden ibaret bir perdedir, elimizi perdeye daldırdığımız anda açılan oyuktan gerçek dünyayla yüzleşeceğizdir. Uçsuz bucaksız bir hiçlik, doyurulması imkânsız bir boşluk…

Bu nevrotik durumdan kaçış, doğanın kendisinde yeni bir mekânı icat etmekte ve tek çıkış yolunu hayal etmekte yatar. Görüntü enformasyonunun sanatçılarda yaratmış olduğu duygulanımların yüzeydeki tezahürü; belki hesaplaşma, belki bir tespit, belki de sadece var olması için bir sebeptir.

We are living in a world surrounded by the information of esthetic images. In this artificial world created by the market powers although the rules seem to be in favor of us in practice they operate against us. Nothing actualizes as promised, it just pretends that things will come true. By the time you feel you are full in fact you are not, the hunger strikes right at this moment, you begin to want more and that is not to be satisfied. The individuals of the consumption society based on the principle of unlimited satisfaction are continuously provoked. They are surrounded by objects which have lost the meaning of their existence, trying to seduce by insisting on their own reasons of existence; which is impossible to ignore. Your superego submits to this call, and you’re guilty as long as it submits to it.

The attraction of the object hides in what can never be satisfied. This spooky world which we cannot resist its attraction, day by day, alienates us from our own personality. This created world is just a curtain consisting of images; the time we plunge our hands in this curtain we will face the real world in that hole. An immense nothingness, an emptiness that can never be satisfied…

The escape from this neurotic situation lies in creating a new space inside the very self of nature and imagining the only exit way. The appearance of the emotionality for artists, created by this information of images, is maybe a settling, maybe a determination or maybe just a reason for their existence.
